Expert Systems
Survey of some landmark expert systems; types of architecture and knowledge representation; interferencing techniques; approximate reasoning; truth maintenance; explanation facilities; knowledge acquisition. A project to implement a small expert system will be assigned. (Also listed as COMP 5007)Prerequisite: COMP 4007 or COMP 5001 (CSI 5113) or permission of the Department.
