Review of basic concepts in statistics and probabilities. Bayes' Theorem. Distributions. Parameter estimation. Goodness-of-fit. Regression and correlation. OC curves. Monte Carlo simulation. ANOVA. Probability-based design criteria. System reliability. Selected applications in structures, transportation and geomechanics. Use of computer software.
