Research and Theory in Academic Writing
Major developments in the study of academic writing from the 1970s, with a focus on recent work. Discussion of what academic writing entails, what constitutes proficiency in academic writing, and how instruction can help students develop their writing abilities.Precludes additional credit for LALS 5607 and LALS 5605 if taken prior to 2007-08.
