Analytical Performance Models of Computer Systems
Analytical modeling techniques for performance analysis of computing systems. Theoretical techniques covered include single and multiple class queuing network models, together with a treatment of computational techniques, approximations, and limitations. Applications include scheduling, memory management, peripheral devices, databases, multiprocessing, and distributed computing.Prerequisite: SYSC 5003 (ELG 6103), SYSC 5503 (ELG 5503) or ELG 5119 (EACJ 5109), or equivalent.
