11.2 Master's Program
A grade of B- or better must normally be obtained in each course credited towards the master's degree. A candidate may,
with the recommendation of his/her department and the approval of the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and
Research, be allowed a grade of C+ in 1.0 credit (or the equivalent). Some departments do not permit the C+ option;
students should check carefully to see if the department in question has a B- minimum rule.
- Full -Time Continuation
- Full -time master's candidates who fail to achieve a weighted grade point average of 7.0 after two terms of study, or to
maintain it subsequently, will be required to withdraw from the program. In the event of special or extenuating
circumstances, the student may apply to the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research for permission to
continue in the program.
- Part -Time Continuation
- A part -time master's student who fails to achieve or maintain a weighted grade point average of 7.0 after completing
two full courses (or the equivalent) will be required to withdraw from the program.
