2.2 Eligibility
A combination of factors is taken into consideration in assessing the eligibility of a candidate for admission into one of the
graduate programs:
- the performance of the candidate and the assessment provided by his/her referees as a measure of the likelihood that the
candidate can successfully complete the course of studies and research defined by the Senate of the University for the
given degree
- the capacity of the graduate department, institute, or school to provide a program of studies and research which would
meet the expectations of the candidate as defined in his/her statement of academic interests and ambitions
- the availability of a faculty member competent to supervise the academic program of studies and research of the
candidate at the time.
