7.1 The Calendar Year

The Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research divides the calendar year into three terms, and the academic year (September -May) into two terms; each term comprises about thirteen weeks of lectures or seminars. The first term of the academic year is designated as the fall term (registration period at the beginning of September); the second term of the academic year is designated as the winter term (registration period early in January); and the third term of the calendar year is designated as the spring/summer term (registration period in early May). The precise dates of registration for the fall, winter, and spring/summer terms are specified in the academic schedule of this Calendar.
