17.   Graduation

17.1  Conferring of Degrees

      On the recommendation of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and
      Research and with the approval of the Senate of the
      University, degrees are conferred by the Chancellor in the
      spring and fall of each year.

17.2  Application Deadlines

      Candidates may have their degrees certified in February each
      year; they must apply by December 1. Students expecting to
      graduate at the Spring Convocation must apply for graduation
      in the Graduate Studies and Research office by February 1.
      Those expecting to graduate at the Fall Graduation must apply
      by September 1.
