Film Studies does not offer a program of studies at the graduate
level, but does offer a course at the graduate level, under the
aegis of the Institute of the Canadian Studies.

  Canadian Cinema
  Through a close analysis of films from both cultures, this
  course should establish the distinctly Canadian modes our
  cinema has developed.  Special attention will be paid to the
  similarities and differences between English Canada and Quebec,
  relating them both to the economic and political realities  of
  our country, and to the variety of thematic orderings of
  Canadian culture that can be found in writers like Northrop
  Frye and Margaret Atwood.
