Dr. Pierre Razoux is Senior Research Adviser on Northern African, Middle Eastern & Gulf Affairs at NATO Defense College in Rome. He served previously in the Delegation for Strategic Affairs of the French Ministry of Defence and as an exchange officer in the Policy Division of the British Ministry of Defence. Dr. Razoux is a well-known analyst and commentator on Northern African, Middle East, Caucasian, NATO and European affairs. He is author of more than 90 academic articles and 7 books, including History of Georgia - The Key of the Caucasus (Paris, Perrin, 2009), Tsahal - New History of the Israeli Armed Forces (Paris, Perrin, 2008), and is currently completing a book on The Iran-Iraq War. His commentary has appeared in the New York Times, Le Figaro, Jane's Defence Weekly, among others.
