The Centre on Values and Ethics (COVE)
fosters deliberation about values and ethics by engaging in research,
knowledge exchange, and education and training. COVE is
committed to:
Engaging in research about values and ethics,
especially research applicable to issues relevant to both the public
and private sectors.
Engaging in knowledge exchange with practitioners
and policy makers who deal with problems in implementing and
conceptualizing values in institutional settings and with theoreticians
who are interested in providing a more general framework for the
discussion of values. Academic members of COVE welcome the
opportunity to learn from practitioners about the complex issues and
challenges they face. COVE members recognize that, in research on
values and ethics, practice and theory interact to shape the content of
each other’s domain.
