Robert J. (Bob) Tetlow is visiting Senior Advisor with the Economic Modeling Section at the International Monetary Fund. His permanent position is Senior Economist with the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. He has been at the Board since 1995. Prior to that he was with the Bank of Canada. He has published in a number of leading journals, including the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Review of Economic Dynamics, and the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control. His research interests are in macro-modeling and monetary theory and policy with particular interest in the implications of model mis-specification for policy, robust control, and learning. At the Bank of Canada, he was co-designer of QPM, which The Economist once described (a bit too extravagantly) as the central banking community’s first DSGE model. He has advised the Bank of England and Sveriges Riksbank and is currently serving as president of the Society for Computational Economics.
