PRESS RELEASE:

London, 5 February 2010

Earthscan is delighted to announce the launch of the Journal of Sustainable Finance & Investment.

The Journal of Sustainable Finance & Investment will be the first journal to provide a dedicated international forum for the growing number of researchers, policy makers and practitioners working in sustainable finance, investments and governance. The focus of this inter-disciplinary, peer-reviewed journal will be environmental, social and governance principles as formulated in managed investment, banking, project finance, and philanthropy.

The journal will help to develop a broad understanding of sustainable investment theory and practice by providing a venue for in-depth discussion and offering a range of accessible, impartial perspectives for professionals operating in the field.

Dr Matthew Haigh, Associate Professor at the Aarhus School of Business, Aarhus University, Denmark, has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of the journal. He has published widely in the area of sustainable investment and is an active member of several international sustainable investment networks, including the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment Academic Network.

To be launched in 2011, the journal will initially be published 4 times per year (print and online).
The journal is accepting submissions for a themed issue on Regulatory Frameworks for sustainability in financial markets. For further details please visit http://www.asb.dk/article.aspx?pid=24445, or contact journals@earthscan.co.uk.
