CISED is Ottawa’s gateway to social enterprise. We are a collaborative of organizations working to support the development of social enterprises through training, coaching, mentoring, business planning and financing.

CISED offers Mission Multiplier Grants to non profit organizations who need help to design their social enterprise; the grant can be used to help shape a business idea,  conduct market research and feasibility studies, or support writing a business plan and launching your social enterprise.  These grants, up to a maximum of $5,000, must be matched by the organization with equivalent cash or in-kind contributions.

To be eligible for this grant, you must attend the “Build Your Social Enterprise” workshop on April 19th, 2012. This full day workshop will help define the concepts, structures, limitations and opportunities of social enterprise for non profit organizations.  We will also discuss the necessary conditions within your organization in order to successfully engage in social business.
