Jerald Sabin obtained a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management and a Master of Arts (Public Administration) at Carleton University. He is currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto in Political Science.
In Summer 2009, he conducted field research in a community-led initiative on the northern social economy in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. In 2008, he travelled to Iqaluit, Nunavut, where he conducted research on sustainable city planning and housing in the Arctic. He is currently working with Dr. Frances Abele on the development of Yellowknife's social economy and its relationship to regional, territorial, and federal policy changes.
His research interests include the northern social economy, territorial politics, and Yellowknife’s voluntary and nonprofit sector. |
